Gastrointestinal Dysfunction in Angelman syndrome

People with Angelman syndrome often experience GI and digestive issues from infancy to adulthood. This session will help attendees understand the link between neurodevelopmental delays and the gut microbiome, as well as cover management and treatment for the most commonly observed GI issues in Angelman syndrome, such as constipation, gastroesophageal reflux, and abdominal pain, along with the less commonly reported issue of cyclical vomiting episodes and aspiration events, including prevention and treatment strategies.
