ASF is an approved charity for the Bank of America Chicago Marathon. Our running team, the Windy City Angels, proudly runs to fundraise for Angelman syndrome.
We have guaranteed entry spots available.
You can also join the team by securing a marathon spot through the lottery or time qualification.

Duo Teams Welcome!
Duo teams consist of one runner who pushes a person with a permanent impairment in a wheelchair built specifically for outdoor road racing. The person being pushed (the rider) must be 16 years old on race day. The person pushing the wheelchair must be 18 years of age or older.
For over a decade, the Windy City Angels bring together first-time marathoners, elite athletes, and everyone in between, all united in support of the Angelman Syndrome Foundation.
In addition to running the Bank of America Chicago Marathon, they raise vital funds and awareness for Angelman syndrome, all while representing the strength and spirit of the Angelman community every step of the way.
The team has raised over $1.3 million to support the Angelman community!Â

Windy City Angels Team Members
Windy City Angels runners are asked to raise $3,000 and will receive:
- Guaranteed entry into the Bank of America Chicago Marathon. Runners are responsible for race entry fees.
- Windy City Angels team t-shirt
- Invitation to team dinner the night before the race for runner and a guest
- Access to ASF’s discounted hotel room block. Runners are responsible for hotel fees.
- A personal fundraising page and fundraising support throughout the year
- Personal training tips throughout the year
