Fathers Perception of Support

If you are the father of a child with Angelman syndrome, you are invited to participate in a research study. The goal of this study is to better understand how fathers of a child with a genetic condition perceive support from support groups and genetics providers, and to identify forms of support that are lacking. Then, enable genetics providers and support groups to better help fathers who have a child with Angelman syndrome.

Participation

To participate, you must meet the following criteria:

• Be the father of an individual with Angelman syndrome
• Complete an anonymous online survey that should take about 10–15 minutes to complete. The survey will ask questions about your child’s diagnosis with Angelman syndrome, experience with a genetics provider, experience with support groups, and what forms of support you feel are lacking
