As part of the NIH NeuroBioBank, The University of Maryland Brain and Tissue Bank collects, stores, and distributes post-mortem brain and other tissues to researchers worldwide, facilitating studies aimed at improving understanding, care, and treatment of these conditions. The bank accepts donations from individuals with various disorders and unaffected controls, supporting a wide range of scientific investigations.
The mission of Angelman Syndrome Foundation is to advance the awareness and treatment of Angelman syndrome through education and information, research and support for individuals with Angelman syndrome, their families and other concerned parties. We exist to give all of them a reason to smile, with the ultimate goal of finding a cure.
