ASF Partners with Families in UAE to Expand Clinical Network
The Angelman Syndrome Foundation (ASF) is proud to announce their partnership with families in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to bring family support and a clinical network to their community. The ASF is a US-based nonprofit organization that has supported the Angelman syndrome (AS) community for 30 years. On October 28, 2022, clinicians from two Angelman Syndrome Clinics will travel to meet, educate and train clinicians in the UAE. The goal is to accelerate the establishment of multiple Angelman clinics in the local community.
“We are absolutely thrilled to have the support of ASF here in the UAE. The huge benefits that come with ASF’s extensive experience and connections with leaders in this field will help end the spread of misinformation and allow us to provide the best possible guidance and assistance to those living with AS and their families. From individual support for families, to community support through webinars and access to leading authorities in their field, ASF is a broad and steady shoulder to let us glimpse and reach for a brighter future.” Souzie and John Mackay, Angelman parents
“At the Angelman Syndrome Foundation we believe that when we collaborate and work together as a community, we can make a bigger impact to support families on their AS journey. The ASF is thrilled to collaborate with the families in the UAE to continue the mission of supporting all AS families and expanding our clinical network to ensure that all families have access to clinical care, treatment and support programs.” Amanda Moore, CEO of the Angelman Syndrome Foundation.
“True support and genuine care is rare and that’s exactly what we have found with the ASF. We are beyond grateful for the ASF’s excellent service to the AS community in the Middle East and look forward to building on the great foundation that ASF has built.” Angelman parents of Zayed
